When Jurgen Klopp arrived at Anfield, he mentioned in his first press conference that if he is still manager in four years, he is pretty confident we will have one title. Exactly the sort of thing a Liverpool fan wants to hear after 25 years in league title wilderness. My only concern is that he only signed a three year deal!
Of course, that’s an irrelevance as I suspect his current contract will be extended pretty sharpish if/when he is successful.
Which brings me onto the next point: How successful can he be with this current crop of players?
Looking at a few numbers for last season, I will be comparing our players with those of our rivals (Manchesters United and City, Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham), with TTTers having their opportunity to vote on who is/isn’t the best and who you’d select in a 4-2-3-1 formation.
