FSG know sweet FA about football.

That was my big fear when FSG took over – these businessmen from another country know nothing about football yet they are tasked with the extremely difficult task of leading Liverpool back to the very top at a time when we have less resources than our direct competitors.

There was a quote in an article by the outstanding David Conn in October 2011 that for me seemed to sum up John Henry’s lack of understanding of the game: “Boy, did you see how far (Andy Carroll) headed that ball?”

No football fan would make a comment like that as they would know that heading distance is not a particularly great indicator of football ability.
