We only need to cast our minds back to the last time we faced our next opponents at Anfield to find some perspective on the depressing 4-0 trouncing we received at the hands of Spurs last weekend. The date was 29 Dec 2010 and we lost 1-0 after producing a performance that was arguably as bad (although I doubt anyone will argue otherwise) as the one we witnessed against Spurs last weekend. And let’s not forget who our manager was for that match!
