By Andrew Beasley (‘Beezdog’)
Andy Carroll played some part in all of Newcastle’s first 19 league games this season before succumbing to the injury that currently delays his Liverpool debut. In that time he scored 11 goals, which is better than a goal every two games (widely considered to be the mark of a good striker).
He has also been involved in a further eight goals (by this I mean he made a pass in the build up, or was fouled to win a penalty; it may not be an actual assist).
