In the 2nd “fans briefing” with representatives of Liverpool fan sites, fanzines, internet TV and internet radio at Melwood, TTT was fortunate enough to have a chance to speak to Brazilian midfield maestro Lucas Leiva.

Not only was Lucas comfortable in taking an almost 1 hour Q&A session in his 2nd language, but he came across as a thoroughly genuine, intelligent, funny, engaging and charming man. Needing virtually no intervention from the Liverpool press officer, I came away with the impression that Lucas tried to answer every question with genuine honesty and be as forthcoming as he could be. There were very few glib platitudes and very little evidence of the anodyne “media training” that we assume all players use as their modus operandi.

Anyway, onto those highlights:
