Liverpool have the opportunity to reduce the gap between us and 4th placed Southampton on Sunday when we travel to St Mary’s; 4: 15pm kick off UK time. Victory for the Reds over Ronald Koeman’s sides will move us to within one point of the Saints and with Arsenal away to Crystal Palace and Tottenham at home to West Ham, the Reds can also improve their standing in the Premier League with victory over Southampton if their rivals for 4th drop points.

LLiverpool-v-Southamptoniverpool defeated Southampton 2-1 on the opening day of the season  with goals from Sterling and Sturridge either side of Clyne scoring for the Saints but the Reds lost six of their next 11 in the league with the Saints winning eight of their next 11, losing one and drawing twice. After the 12 game mark there was a 12 point gap in Southampton’s favour with Liverpool in 12th and Southampton in 2nd.
