We lost to Manchester City a few days ago and our title hopes are over. Done. Ended. Terminated.

Or that’s what it seems like if you listen to people, including some of the immensely informed pundits. The reality is somewhat different. We are four points clear of Manchester City after 21 games into the season against the best manager in the world© with the most expensive squad ever assembled in the history of football (that’s before you even take TPI into account).

So the reality vs the extremist narrative is somewhat different. And with less than half the season to go, I’m sure Manchester City would much prefer to be in our position than theirs.
