Liverpool’s final game before the international break is a blockbuster of a match, with the visit of reigning champions Manchester City to Anfield on Sunday; 4:30pm kick off UK time.
The Reds are win-less in three suffering a defeat and draw against Chelsea and going down 0-1 at Napoli on Wednesday evening. Given the opposition the Reds have faced and beaten since returning from the first international break over a short period time (seven games in 23 days culminating in the visit of City), the intensity of this period was bound to take its toll at some stage.
