While it’s difficult to enjoy facing a plucky six-at-the-back bargain basement team who are fighting relegation and playing for their futures in the sport, watching The New Man United was a different experience. They’ve been completely reinvented this season they told me; jaws on the ground, astonishing attacking talents, ripping teams to shreads and, for once, coming to Anfield to go toe-to-toe with Liverpool. Chance would be a fine thing. The Reds converting a chance would also be a fine thing.
