This season was the least of Joe Allen, and the most of Joe Allen.

It saw his fewest league appearances (19), but his joint-highest overall appearances (37). It was his top-scoring season to date, with three, and it was his most marvellously beardy campaign thus far. Never before had Joe Allen been so lushly hirsute; no Nivea skin products were used here – flowing hair, Jesus beard, vegan kebabs.
