Welcome to our weekly round-up of news and events on the site, matters relating to LFC and the world of football generally.
Liverpool Football Club News:
Daniel Sturridge returned to training with England on Monday, on the eve of the final 23-man squad announcement for Euro 2016.
The 26-year-old missed Friday’s 2-1 win over Australia having sustained a calf problem during Liverpool’s Europa League final loss to Sevilla.
Celtic are unlikely to spend big money to bring 26-year-old Liverpool midfielder Joe Allen to the club. (Daily Record)
Manchester City are already owned by Sheikh Mansour who is member of the Abu Dhabi royal family.
Now a member of his family has set his sights on snapping up Liverpool and has more than £700m in the bank waiting to complete a deal.
Although the identity of the bidder remains a closely guarded secret, one likely candidate is Sheikh Khalifa, the president of the United Arab Emirates.
This is an old story rehashed. Apparently Mafeking has been relieved as well.
