Albie, Albie, Albie.

I have to be honest, I really like Alberto Moreno. He has an infectious quality about him. Seeing him in training pictures, he’s often smiling and laughing.

When people may be afraid to make a prat of themselves (as most 23 year old lads often are), he doesn’t seem to care too much. Happy to have a laugh and do what comes naturally; see his imitation of the Sturridge dance at Selhurst Park, in front of thousands of people, with millions more watching around the world. Not the actions of a timid young man.

Having a laugh and always arriving to work with a smile on your face isn’t all that counts of course. He has a tremendous heart and tenacity. His effort in matches is second to none. He busts a gut to get forward, then busts it again to get back, often having Coutinho ahead of him who will naturally drift to the centre, leaving the whole left wing for Albie to patrol.
