Liverpool host Everton on Wednesday evening – 8pm kick off UK time – in what will be the 194th league meeting between the two sides and Jürgen Klopp’s first Merseyside derby. Everton are without a win in their last six in the Premier League, with three defeats and three draws, and have won just one of their last eight in the league; a 3-1 win at Aston Villa.

Liverpool have lost one of their last eight in the league – the 2-3 reverse at Southampton – with five wins and two draws making up the numbers. A win for the Reds would make it two consecutive league wins at Anfield for the first time this season and move us up to 7th, while defeat for West Ham against Watford combined with a Liverpool victory would see us climb up to 6th.

Both clubs have a semi-final to look forward to with Everton playing Man Utd at Wembley in the FA Cup on Sunday, while Liverpool face Rafa Benitez’s Newcastle Utd at Anfield on Saturday in the Premier League before travelling to Spain for the Europa League semi-final 1st leg tie with Villarreal.
