Remember looking at the league table a while, only six points off the top, after a poor start to the season, playing some fantastic football, believing we could take on all-comers? Not me. The last defeat, away to a rampant Watford side, felt as bad as the Stoke humbling at the end of the last season. Because this match mattered. This season still mattered until yesterday. Now I’m not so sure.
