It’s 9th place versus 8th place in the Premier League on Sunday when Liverpool host Stoke City at Anfield; 4pm kick off UK time. The Reds know a victory will catapult us above Mark Hughes’ side and maintain our slim hope of a top four finish come May 15. With five of our remaining eight league games at Anfield, Liverpool need 17 points from the remaining 24 available to match last season’s points tally of 62.
Stoke have won one of their last four Premier League games – a 2-1 win at Watford – and are unbeaten in their last three away from home having drawn 1-1 at Chelsea and won 3-1 at Bournemouth to add to that victory over the Hornets.
