This is an updated version of the thread used for the away game against Young Boys.
Young Boys of Bern are Liverpool’s next opponents, the fifth game in the group stages of the Europa League. The game will take place at Anfield on Thursday evening, kick off 8.05 pm UK time.
Young Boys are level on points with us in the Europa League. Like us they’ve won two and lost two, thanks to their remarkable double over Udinese, 3-1 at home and 3-2 away, having lost their first two games, 3-5 at home against us and 1-3 at Anzhi. They’ve scored 10 in four games, conceded 11. There have been 28 goals in the eight matches involving Liverpool or Young Boys, so perhaps we shouldn’t expect a goalless draw on Thursday.
In our game in Bern, in which Wisdom, Suso and Assaidi made their debuts, our goals came from a comedy own goal, two defenders, Wisdom and Coates, and two from sub Shelvey.
