We have all seen the rumour that Liverpool are close to reaching an agreement with Fulham to sign Fabio Carvalho today (follow Vinny O’Connor Twitter for updates on this). Possibilities are that the Reds will send the 19-year-old back on loan to Craven Cottage for the rest of this season and bring him back on the first day of pre-season.
Carvalho is a Portuguese-born teenager who now has British citizenship (as per Transfermarkt). He has come through the youth system at Fulham, having represented their U18s and U23s before making the senior debut in an EFL Cup game during the 2020/21 season. He has played four Premier League games last season as well, scoring one goal.
It is this year in the Championship that the player has risen in leaps and bounds, with 11 goal contributions in 18 league appearances, including six in the last four games. Though he has played as a forward and a right-winger a couple of times each, number 10 or attacking midfield is his most favoured position.
Below, we take an in-depth look at the player with the help of stats, comparison tables, radars, etc.
