He scored and assisted a goal in West Ham United’s win over Chelsea on Saturday, and delivered two assists in the Hammers’ win against Liverpool a month ago. So when we talk about the two big results David Moyes’ men have got this season, Bowen has played key roles in both of them.
The 24-year-old (soon to be 25 on 20th December) was strongly linked with a move to Anfield in the summer transfer window. So strong were the links that even Liverpool’s reporter at the Athletic, James Pearce, tweeted about this particular piece of news (link). Hence, it can be said that the club’s recruitment department did have a keen eye on the player, and they might continue to keep it trained on him for as long as possible.
