Former Reds midfielder Ray Kennedy has passed away at the age of 70 after suffering from Parkinson’s Disease for many years. His signing  on 12th July 1974 from Arsenal was completely overshadowed by the shock news that manager Bill Shankly had announced he was stepping down with immediate effect. His last act, like many before it, turned out be a very good one.
