Welcome to our weekly round-up of news and events on the site, matters relating to LFC and the world of football generally.

Liverpool Football Club News:

Monday 13th:

Following the retirement from football of Daniel Agger last week, another ex-Reds Scandinavian defender, John Arne Riise, is hanging up his boots.

As FirePhoenix23 asked ‘did anyone ever find out he scored that goal?’ 😉

Wednesday 15th:

The new season’s fixtures were announced. We start away to Arsenal on August 13th. Next two away games? Tottenham and Chelsea. Just like last season then. Cheers. First home game is Burnley on August 20th weekend. However, according to BBC Sport Merseyside, Liverpool have written to Burnley to ask to move the 2nd game of the season to Turf Moor in case the Main Stand expansion is delayed.
