Liverpool are back in Europa League action on Thursday evening in the last 32 second leg tie against Augsburg at Anfield: 6pm kick off UK time. The two sides drew 0-0 in the first leg in Germany so the Reds won’t have the advantage of the away goals rule to call upon, while Augsburg know that if they score at least once, Liverpool will need to score twice to nullify their away goals rule advantage.
Jürgen Klopp is unlikely to rest any players despite the Capital One Cup final against Manchester City taking place on Sunday, although the Reds have had a rare full week to prepare for this tie. Augsburg recorded a 1-0 win at Hannover on Sunday, making it eight cleans sheets in their last 11 games in all competitions.
