Saturday’s FA Cup fourth round tie against West Ham Utd at Anfield – 5.30pm kick off UK time – will be Liverpool’s 9th match played since the turn of the year. Following Tuesday night’s exertions in the Capital One Cup semi-final second leg that had to be settled on penalties after extra-time, and with a trip to table topping Leicester just three days after this match, Jürgen Klopp may decide to introduce some fresh(er) legs, if that’s even feasible.
West Ham will be looking to complete their first ever ‘treble’ over the Reds following their 3-0 win at Anfield at the end of August and the 2-0 victory at Upton Park at the beginning of the month in the Premier League, while Liverpool will be looking to maintain their unbeaten record against the Hammers in this competition.
