The Week in Football – Liverpool FC:

Monday:

Lazar Markovic and Philippe Coutinho both scored for their countries this weekend, with Markovic on the mark as a second-half sub in Serbia’s 4-1 win over Azerbaijan and Coutinho with his first for Brazil, a smart opener in the 2-0 win over Mexico. Meanwhile Jordan Henderson, Raheem Sterling, Adam Lallana and new signing James Milner all featured in England’s riveting goalless boreathon in Dublin against Ireland.
