The transfer window is now finally behind us for 2011 and Liverpool’s new look streamlined squad will be aiming to continue their good start to the season with a victory against Stoke City – a team that nobody seems to enjoy playing against due to their physical and direct style of play.  If Liverpool do secure all three points against Stoke it will be our joint best start to a PL campaign based on the first four games – shared with four other seasons: 1994/95 (ten points from 12, finished 4th), 1998/99 (10pts/12, finished 7th), 2007/08 (10pts/12 finished 4th), and 2008/09 (10pts/12, finished 2nd).
