With Liverpool’s exit from the Europa League on Thursday night, our remaining nine Premier League games have become all the more significant if we hope to be competing in Europe next season. Six points separate us from fifth placed Spurs (nine points if they win their game in hand), so there’s no margin for error if we want to avoid missing out on European competition of any kind for the first time since the 1999/00 season.
