It was always going to be tense, it was always going to be close – but apart from the final score there was nothing close about this game in terms of chances. Liverpool now travel to Germany knowing an away goal will make it very difficult for Bayern to go through. As Klopp said in his post-match press conference “it was the best draw we could hope for…”.
