We last checked in with our intrepid heroes after their 0-0 draw with Manchester City. Liverpool have played four league games since, winning the three you’d expect them to while drawing at Arsenal. A perfectly acceptable set of results, yet the Reds have gone from level on points with the champions to two behind.
There has also been a pair of tussles with Crvena Zvezda since last we met; a comfortable home win and an embarrassingly poor defeat in Belgrade. Still, that’s W4-D1-L1 record for this period overall, which isn’t the end of the world. Right?
