Liverpool’s un-beaten start to the season came to an end on Wednesday evening with a 1-2 defeat to Chelsea at Anfield in the League Cup. The opportunity to make amends is swift, with a trip to Stamford Bridge on Saturday; 5.30pm kick off UK time.
The Reds have won just two of the last 12 in the league home and away (four draws and two defeats in our last six league outings at L4) – so it’s just aswell Saturday’s clash is at the Bridge, where we’ve won four of the last eight (two draws and two defeats) in the Premier League. One of those defeats came in the corresponding fixture last season when we went down 0-1 as Liverpool secured a 4th place finish at the expense of Chelsea by the end of the season.
