The only buses that will be parked on the Anfield pitch for Sunday afternoon’s visit of Man City, will be party buses ready to celebrate two of the best attacking sides in Europe going head-to-head; 4pm kick off UK time. Runaway leaders Man City have smashed in 64 goals in 22 Premier League matches (almost three a game), winning 20 and drawing two as they blitz their way to a potentially record breaking Premier League title, if they continue scoring goals and winning games at their current rate.
Add in the five goals scored in the League Cup, 14 in the Champions League and four in the FA Cup, that’s 87 goals scored with just 21 conceded in 33 games played across all competitions. Pretty impressive stuff.
