Diogo Jota’s addition to this Liverpool squad has been nothing short of a revelation. Since his debut appearance off the bench against Arsenal last season (where he scored by the way), the Portuguese international has made an impact for the Reds every time he is called upon to slot into any of the front positions.
The 25-year-old has scored 27 goals and assisted three in 59 games in all competitions for Jürgen Klopp’s team. In the league, he has 19 goals from 41 appearances, including 10 in 21 games this season alone. He is currently second in the race for the Golden Boot, behind his own teammate Mohamed Salah (who is running away with 16).
