Liverpool are back in action for their final match of 2021 and it’s a trip to Leicester City – recently vanquished in the League Cup quarter-final – as the final opponents of the year.
The Foxes suffered a 3-6 defeat at Manchester City on Boxing Day, while the Reds had their match with Leeds postponed due to injuries and rising COVID-19 infections in the Leeds squad, resulting in some unexpected extra recovery and training time for Klopp’s squad, in what has been a hectic December.
