After the shortest break between seasons that I have ever experienced, Liverpool and Arsenal meet in the 2020 FA Community Shield on Saturday – 4.30pm kick off UK time – and to add to the bizarreness of the times we live in, the Premier League season doesn’t begin until two weeks after this match is completed due to the international break.
Both sides have won the Community Shield – or whatever previous name it has been called – 15 times, including the occasions when they individually shared the title, with Liverpool with ten outright wins and five shared titles, while the Gunners have 14 wins and one shared title.
