After waiting what feels like thirty years for Liverpool to play a football match, of course we were bound to have a nil-nil bore to kick-off the ‘excitement’ again, especially when the fixture was against Everton and – looking back at past results versus them at Goodison Park – the signs were there that very few, if any, goals would be scored in this match (one goal in five league fixtures).
