Liverpool’s first of two matches in the space of 24 hrs is the trip to Villa Park on Tuesday evening – 7.45pm kick off UK time – with a place in the semi-finals up for grabs to the victors.
The side to face Aston Villa will be led by Neil Critchley and due to the circumstances involved, this is a free hit for the man who manages Liverpool’s Under 23s team and many of the young players but the opportunity is there for new heroes to be born against the Villains.
