Liverpool’s quest to go one better than last season in the Champions League continues with a quarter-final tie against FC Porto at Anfield on Tuesday evening – 8pm kick off UK time – in what is a repeat of last season’s last 16 tie.
Liverpool progressed past Porto with a 5-0 victory at the Estádio do Dragão in the first leg followed with a 0-0 draw in the 2nd leg at Anfield and although Porto appear the ‘weakest’ team on paper, they have won six of the eight matches played in the Champions League this season. A semi-final tie against the winners of Barcelona v Man Utd is the prize for the victor.
