So here it is then. The media have been in overkill mode for days about it. The hype machine is running on empty. And I’ve got a ticket. Or more precisely, my mate Bob from Liverpool has it. I ask what time the seven of us are meeting. It’s 2.30pm says Pete. For a 20.00 kick off!

“Reds are getting there early” he tells me. “We’re up for this.”
