The Emirates Stadium is the next destination for Liverpool as Unai Emery’s Arsenal welcome the Reds on Saturday evening – 5.30pm kick off UK time – with the Gunners undergoing something of a resurgence under the former Sevilla, PSG and Spartak Moscow coach, having won 12 and drawn one of their last 13 matches in all competitions.
The only previous occasion Liverpool have faced a side coached by Emery was the 2016 Europa League final against Sevilla, which we lost 1-3. Following back-to-back defeats against Man City (0-2) and Chelsea (2-3) in their opening two league games, the Gunners recorded 11 consecutive victories in all comps before Crystal Palace ended that sequence with a 2-2 draw at Selhurst Park last Sunday.
