Pre-match virtually every single stat indicated a match of goals – for both sides – when in fact this was more a tactical chess match with a slightly different approach from both managers this season compared to last season. The only big chance was the penalty. Taking that away – as we always do with xG – then both sides barely created 1 xG between them.
