
An old foe will hope to inspire Napoli to go one better than PSG when Liverpool travel to Naples for Wednesday evening’s Champions League clash – 8pm kick off UK time – with Carlo Ancelotti’s Napoli hoping to prevent the Reds from opening up a five point gap between the two sides, which is what a victory for Klopp’s men would result in.
The two sides have met just twice before in competitive fixtures, those being the 2010 Europa League group stage encounters which ended 0-0 at the San Paolo and a 3-1 win at Anfield courtesy of a Steven Gerrard hat-trick.
