Liverpool had prevented the opposition from scoring in just four matches from the 15 played up to and including that defeat to Spurs, conceding 24 goals. Following that match, the Reds kept 19 clean sheets in 41 matches (conceding 39) en-route to finishing 4th and reaching the Champions League final.
