Liverpool begin their double header against Chelsea with a League Cup third round tie at Anfield on Wednesday evening – 7.45pm kick off UK time – swiftly followed by a trip to Stamford Bridge in the Premier League on Saturday.
Although the latter game is the more significant of the two matches against Sarri’s side, the Reds will be hoping to progress as far as possible in a competition they have won a record eight times.
