Liverpool Football Club thrashed Manchester City – the champions-elect of England – five goals to one over 180 minutes in the European Cup. According to new UEFA and FIFA rules, this means that Liverpool will now be crowned Premier League champions as a matter of principle and respect for the domestic league. (Apparently.)
But who cares about that? Because we are going to win the Champions League anyway.
