The weather forecast for Stoke-on-Trent for Wednesday is around 4c and cloudy so we’ll soon find out if Mo Salah can produce the goods “on a cold and wet cloudy Wednesday evening in Stoke” (barring rotation) when the Reds travel to the bet365 Stadium – 8pm kick off UK time -to face Mark Hughes’ side.
Salah notched his 15th goal of the season in the 1-1 draw with Chelsea on Saturday in only his 20th appearance for the Reds (ten league goals in 13 appearances). That is one more goal than our top scorer from last season (Coutinho with 14 in all comps, 13 in the league) and it’s not even December yet!
The draw with Chelsea was our 5th of the season in the league (joint most shared with Leicester and W.B.A.) and – combined with Arsenal’s win against Burnley – has seen us drop down to 6th, although we remain three points behind Chelsea who sit in 3rd.
