It appears last week, at West Brom, was the exception rather than the rule. It looked like we’d developed some solidity and concentration; but only over 90 minutes. It looked like we had a plan, and the players were executing it. Unfortunately, along with the Stoke game – when our goalkeeper saved us – defending appallingly against set pieces and direct football is the norm for this defensive set up.
