Liverpool’s penultimate away game of the 16/17 Premier League season takes them to Vicarage Road on Monday evening – 8pm kick off UK time – where Walter Mazzarri’s Watford await. The Hornets have secured their top flight status for another season and have won three in a row at Vicarage Road in the league; 1-0 over Sunderland, 2-0 over West Brom and 1-0 over Swansea.

Liverpool’s 1-2 home to defeat to Crystal Palace means the Reds have to rely on other teams to drop points as the battle for Champions League qualification enters the final weeks of the season. Manchester Utd are just three points behind with two games in hand, with one of those games the Manchester derby on Thursday evening.

Even Arsenal who are nine points behind Liverpool with three games in hands could overhaul us if they win their three games in hand with a combined goal difference of +6.
