Liverpool will be looking to record back-to-back league wins for the first time in 2017 with the visit of Burnley to Anfield on Sunday; 4pm kick off UK time. The Reds are one of only eight teams in Premier League action this weekend due to the FA Cup quarter-finals.
This is a ‘must win’ for more than simply demonstrating that Liverpool can beat a team that is expected to ‘parks the bus’ against us at Anfield. With no other side from the top six in action, a win will move the Reds up to third place and a single point behind Spurs in 2nd. Failing to defeat Burnley would leave the other top four contenders with either one game (Spurs & Man City) or two games in hand (Man Utd and Arsenal), leaving Liverpool with a big disadvantage over the remainder of the season.
