Liverpool welcome Swansea to Anfield on Saturday – 12.30pm kick off UK time – knowing that a win will catapult us back above Spurs in to 2nd and reduce the gap to leaders Chelsea to four points, with Spurs away to Manchester City in Saturday’s late kick-off and Chelsea at home to Hull on Sunday afternoon.
Recently appointed Swansea manager Paul Clement has added Tom Carroll (Spurs) and Martin Olsson (Norwich) to bolster his squad, as the former Bayern Munich assistant to Carlo Ancelotti looks to extend Swansea’s top flight status into a seventh season. Currently sitting rock bottom on goal difference, the Swans are one point behind Crystal Palace in 16th and have picked up just one win from their last six Premier League matches – a 2-1 win at Crystal Palace – and lost their last league match at Arsenal 0-4.
