Part One by Gary Fulcher.
Liverpool return to Premier League action on Sunday – 4pm kick off UK time – with a trip to Old Trafford to face Mourinho’s Manchester Utd. The Red Devils sit in 6th place, nine points clear of Everton in 7th and ten adrift of leaders Chelsea but have won their last six league games in a row and are unbeaten in their last 11 in the Premier League.
A victory for Man Utd would make it seven in a row in the league for the first time since they won the title in 2012/13, while their current unbeaten run is their best without a league defeat since they went 18 games unbeaten during that same title winning season. If all that wasn’t irritating enough, a win for the Red Devils would reduce the gap to us to just two points.
The two sides drew 0-0 at Anfield back in October which ended a run of four consecutive league defeats for Liverpool but which extended our win-less sequence against Manchester Utd to five games.
