Thursday night’s Europa League quarter-final second leg tie against Borussia Dortmund – 8.05pm kick off UK time – has the makings of being one of those classic European nights at Anfield, with the tie finely balanced at 1-1 following the first-leg in Germany. Liverpool know a 0-0 draw or a victory of any kind will be enough to book our place in the semi-finals, while Dortmund will progress with a win of any kind or a score draw higher than 1-1. If the match finishes 1-1 on the night after 90 minutes then extra-time (and potentially penalties) will be needed to find a winner.
Both sides made a host of changes for their league games at the weekend with Liverpool making seven changes to the side that started against Dortmund for the 4-1 win over Stoke, while Tuchel made eight changes to his Dortmund side which drew 2-2 at local rivals Schalke.
