The Reds continued their unbeaten record in 2014 in emphatic fashion, smashing five past Arsenal at Anfield on Saturday lunch time. That 5-1 victory against the then league leaders was our fourth in six league games – six from eight including the FA Cup – since the turn of the year. Since (and including) the 1990/91 season, this is only the third campaign we’ve amassed 50 points or more after 25 games and our tally of 63 goals scored is seven less than our season end total of 71 from 2012/13 with 13 games still to play.

Next up for Brendan Rodgers’ side is a trip to southwest London to face Fulham at Craven Cottage on Wednesday evening, with an 8pm kick off UK time. A team we’ve scored 11 goals against in our last three meetings with just the one conceded. It’s the second highest scorers in the league against the team with the worst defensive record. So 0-0 then?

Liverpool secured a 4-0 victory at Anfield back in November courtesy of goals from Amorebieta (og), Martin Skrtel and a Luis Suarez brace. We won the corresponding fixture last season 3-1 with a Daniel Sturridge hat-trick securing the three points despite Dimitar Berbatov giving Fulham the lead.

Fulham head into this fixture on the back of a 2-2 draw with Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday, with Darren Bent scoring an injury time equaliser for René Meulensteen’s side. That draw with Man Utd ended a sequence of four consecutive defeats for Fulham in the Premier League, indeed they’ve won only three of their last 17 league games (13 defeats, one draw, three wins) and have kept just three clean sheets all season.

With a record like that, it’s hardly surprising the Cottagers sit rooted to the bottom of the table with 20 points from 25 games. They’ve lost the most games (17), with eight defeats at Craven Cottage (the joint highest number of home defeats in the division) and nine away from home. Their total of 55 goals conceded is the highest in the league as is the number of goals they’ve conceded at home (25).

Our biggest league victory against the Cottagers at Anfield is 5-2 from May 2011, while our heaviest defeat is 0-3 from February 1912.
